The Intellectual Property Rights Cell and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Arya Vidyapeeth College has organised an Online Faculty Development Programme on Intellectual Property Rights during 21-27 April, 2021 in association with Electronics & ICT Academy, IIT Guwahati, Assam for the faculty members and interested research scholars to bring awareness about the importance of IPR, to encourage faculties to file IP for their research, inventions and innovative projects.
The Programme was designed to enhance abilities of conducting meaningful research and also address the various aspects of the legal rights that protect creations and inventions resulting from intellectual activity.
On 21st April, the programme was inaugurated by Dr. Manab Deka, Coordinator, IQAC, Dr. Sanghamitra De, Convenor, IPR Cell, Arya Vidyapeeth College and Ms. Pubali Poddar, Programme Officer, Electronics & ICT Academy, IIT Guwahati in presence of 58 participants from all over India. Eminent experts in the field of IPR Md. Nizam Ashraf Khan, Assistant Professor, School of Law, Galgotias University and Dr. Anindhya Tiwari, Head of the Department, MATS Law School, MATS University, Raipur conducted all the sessions in the 40 hours Programme. The practical and interactive approach adopted for the Programme including deliberations on IPR, Group Discussions, Self-Learning exercises and various case studies was highly appreciated by the participants. Prof. Ranajit Bhattacharjee, Principal Investigator, Dr. Gaurav Trivedi, Co- Principal Investigator, Electronics & ICT Academy, IIT Guwahati were the Course Coordinators from the Academy and Dr. Manab Deka and Dr. Sanghamitra De coordinated the Programme from Arya Vidyapeeth College.
