Brief report of the interactive session between the newly constituted Governing Body and Teaching Staff

An interactive session between the newly constituted Governing Body of Arya Vidyapeeth College (Autonomous) and the teaching staff was held on 10th June, 2023 at Guru Nanak Auditorium. At the very beginning, Dr. Pradip Kr. Bhattacharyya, Principal and Member Secretary of the Governing Body welcomed the august gathering, where he spoke about the glorious journey of the college. The Chairman of the Governing Body, Prof Jogen Chandra Kalita, HoD, Dept of Zoology, Gauhati University spoke wonderfully about the duties and responsibilities of the Arya Vidyapeeth fraternity towards the upcoming NEP structure and emphasised on the importance of working in unison. Shri. ShyamKanuMahanta, famous entrepreneur and State Govt. nominated member of the Governing Body focused on the importance of skills needed to be developed and nurtured among the students for their overall growth and also exposure to the idea of start-ups. He also said that the students as well as teachers should be aware of the latest technologies and the online resources to compete with the present world. On the other hand, Sri Dipankar Bora, Economist, State Innovation and Transformation Ayog and State Govt. nominated member of Governing Body, spoke about the ethics and human values needed for living in a civilised society. Prof.Hemanta Kumar Sharma, Dept. Of Mathematics, Gauhati University was also present as an honourable member.

Towards the end of the session, Mr.Samrat Bora,Dr.Mousumi Borah, Ms.Chhanda Biswas, Dr.Prasanta Kr. Das, Dr.Pankaj Jyoti Gogoi,Dr.ChhandashreeBhuyan and Dr.Ajoy Kr. Das expressed their gratitude and exchanged their thoughts and innovative ideas for the overall development of the college. The session ended with an encouraging note from Prof.Jogen Chandra Kalita, as he conveyed his well wishes for the future development and success of the college
