5th International Yoga Day was organised by the Yoga Centre, Arya Vidyapeeth College in collaboration Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture, Uzanbazar, Guwahati on 21st June, 2019 in the Guru Nanak Auditorium Hall. The Yoga expert of VKIC Ms. Bharati Nandi was the Resource Person including three other yoga instructors.They are Mrs. Minati Barman,Ms. Sangita Jain and Sandip Dasgupta.The programme was started with the lighting of the lamp by respected principal sir Dr. Pradip Kr. Bhattarcharyya followed by a mangalacharan by the convenor of the AVC yoga centre Dr. Sipra Paik. A large number of students and teachers took active part in this event to make it a grand success.
Besides these the students of our college NSS unit participated at the Sarusajai stadium to celebrate the 5th International Yoga Day organised centrally by Govt. Of Assam.Students of NCC joined at Guwahati Commerce College where the NCC unit arranged centrally to celebrate the International Yoga Day.
