Eco Club of Arya Vidyapeeth College celebrated World Environment Day by organizing a Plantation Program of indigenous fruiting and flowering plants at Arya Vidyapeeth College Campus. The programme was inaugurated by Sri Dilip Ch Sarma, Retd Professor of Botany, Arya Vidyapeeth College. Principal Dr PK Bhattacharya and Vice Principal Dr M Sarmah along with number of Faculty Members and Non Teaching stuff and students participated in the event. Number of indigenous fruiting trees were planted in the Hostel Campus and indigenous flowering trees were planted near the sports complex. Reduce Plastic Waste Initiative has been started by promoting College campus as “Reduce Plastic Waste Zone” and display boards were hanged in the main Academic Campus of the College.
