Arya Vidyapeeth College inspires its faculty members to pursue independent research in different dimensions of Humanities and Sciences that focuses on the benefit and upliftment of the society. Institutionalization of research activities is a need of the present times. In view of this, Arya Vidyapeeth College has taken initiative for implementation of IRG among faculty members of the college. The research project intends to encourage the faculty members for research activities with due emphasis of confining research within the periphery of social problems and to explore the remedial measures in these areas. Priorities will be given to the project proposals which emphasises on common scientific as well as social inquisitives. A research proposal with clear and specific objective(s) that makes use of developing new and realistic ideas will be given the preference.

Guidelines for Application

The tenure of the selected projects will be of one year duration. The maximum funding for each selected proposal will be Rs.50,000/- and Rs.75,000/-, respectively for Humanities and Science. The sanctioned amount will be disbursed in instalments. If the Principal Investigator fails to submit the final report within the stipulated time; he/she has to refund the amount to the authority within three months from the last date of completion of the project. Three hard copies of the applied research proposals in the prescribed format ( attached herewith) is to be submitted to Dr Monali Dutta Saikia, Co-ordination, Academic & Research Cell, Arya Vidyapeeth College.

Important Dates:

30th November 2019 – Deadline for Applications
31st March 2020 – Evaluation and selection of successful applicants
1st April 2020 – Date of implementation
