Department of Botany, Arya Vidyapeeth College organised “One day Workshop on Techniques of Plant Study” for Students of the College on 7th Nov 2019 under DBT star College Scheme. The inaugural session was presided over by the Principal of the college Dr P K Bhattacharyya and Vice Principal Sri S D Sharma also shared the stage. The Key Note speaker, noted propagetor of Botanical Science Sri Dilip Chandra Sarma gave inaugural speech on Importance of Botanical Study and it’s significance to society. Three technical sessions were conducted by Associate Professor JK Manta of Handique Girls College, Associate Professor Dr Reetoparna Patowary Kakoti of Cotton University and Associate Professor Dr R K Bora of Pragjyotish College on Techniques of External Study, International Study and Documentation and Preservation of Plants respectively. In the day long program 61 Students participated.
