To motivate the students and to make the efficient use of the library and its services, the ‘Best Library User Award’ has been started by Central Library, Arya Vidyapeeth College since 2020. For the session 2021-22, Mr. Niraj Sharma from Commerce Stream (UG, 4th Semester) is selected on the basis of the statistical data, accession of books, reading aptitude of the student, utilization of library resources, discipline and the review of the Library Advisory Committee. Every year this Award conferred on the occasion of Librarians Day (12 August). Central Library of Arya Vidyapeeth College held prize distribution ceremony for ‘Best User Award’ on 12th August 2022. The ceremony started with the brief introduction about the library by Dr. Dalimi Devi, Librarian, Central Library, Arya Vidyapeeth College. Invited Speaker Dr. Gitanjali Hazarika, Associate Professor, Department of Assamese, Arya Vidyapeeth College presented the award. She pointed out the relevance of the effective library services for ensuring quality education in the present day context and to make teaching effective for the benefit of the society.
At the end, a Q&A session was held which was moderated by Dr. Pranita Barman, Associate Professor, Department of Assamese, where numbers of questions were raised by the participants and Dr. Gitanjali Hazarika and Dr. Pranita Barman clarified their doubts satisfactorily. Finally, the programme came to end successfully with vote of thanks that was delivered by Dr. Sipra Paik, Assistant Professor, Department of Sanskrit, Arya Vidyapeeth College.
