On 30th of March, 2023 NSS Unit of Arya Vidyapeeth College (Autonomous) started Community Services in their adopted “New GMC Colony” area under Ward 20, Fatasil Ambari, Ghy-25. The Programme was inaugurated by Deputy Mayor of GMC Mrs Smita Roy. On behalf of Authority, AVC, Academic Dean Dr Mousumi Borah and IQAC Coordinator Dr Anupama Devi were present. Chhanda Biswas, HoD, Economics Department deliberated on “Gender Sesitisation, Awareness for Social Harmony”. Faculties, students of Economics dept along with NSS volunteers, interacted with the community people. The Department also donated two dustbins to the community as well. NSS Volunteers also presented a ‘Street Play’ on Child Marriage as a part of awareness campaign.
