A program on Environment Awareness had been conducted by Environment Cell, Arya Vidyapeeth College on 22nd May 2019 on the occasion of “International Day for Biological Diversity” at Arya Vidyapeeth MP and HS School, Guwahati. The program has been supported by ASTE Council, DST, Govt. of Assam.

The program comprised of:

1. Speech on Biological Diversity by Dr Papori Devi, Member, College Environment Cell, Arya Vidyapeeth College.
2. Documentary on Environment Education.
3. Short Speech Competition among children of Middle and High School. Twenty Six of students for Junior Section (Class: 6,7 & 8) and Eleven students from Senior Section had participated in the competition. For junior section prizes were given for 1^st, 2^nd , 3^rd positions, additionally five consolation prizes were given to encourage the young talents. Similarly, for senior section prizes are given for 1^st, 2^nd , 3^rd positions and two consolation prizes were also given.
