The Talk on Values and Aims in Life: Significance of Education and Personality Development

The Anti-Ragging Cell, Arya Vidyapeeth College organised a Talk on Values and Aims in Life: Significance of Education and Personality Development as part of the Motivational Programme on Human Values on 17th March, 2021 at Conference Hall with the aim of promoting harmonious relationship amongst the students thereby preparing them for the highest self- development and spiritual growth. At the outset, Dr. Jyotirupa Sharma welcomed all the participants. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Anita Talukdar, honorable Vice-Principal, Arya Vidyapeeth College. In her speech, Dr. Talukdar focused on the importance of holistic development of the students with special emphasis on the physical, mental and spiritual health of the youth so that they are able to contribute to the promotion of peace, harmony and health in society. Dr. Ranju Medi, Convener, Anti-Ragging Cell, Arya Vidyapeeth College elaborated upon the aims, objectives, activities and progress of the Anti-Ragging Cell in the context of promotion of human values and harmonious relationship amongst the students. .Mr. Diganta Biswa Sarma, noted translator and devotee of Sri Ramkrishna, Swami Vivekananda and Sri Aurobindo from VKIC was invited as the distinguished speaker. The speaker tenuously highlighted the significance of education and personality development in the context of human values and the consequent effect on aims in life. The participants were immensely benefited from his erudite scholarship as the speaker addressed the important questions of material well-being and success in life, spiritual growth, the role of education in holistic development of individual.
