The International webinar on “Skill learning and effective teaching” was organized by Education Department, Arya Vidyapeeth College,Guwahati on 19th September 2020 at 7 pm. The programme started with the brief introduction about the college by Dr. Rupmala Barman, co-ordinator, International Webinar. Convener Dr. Ranju Medhi has extended her warm welcome to the participants and resource persons of the webinar.The webinar was inaugarated by Dr. Pradip Kumar Bhattacharyee, principal of the college. A total number of 550 participants have registered for the webinar. The main objective of the webinar is to enrich people with teaching effectiveness in relation to various levels, strategies and models of teaching. The webinar was held on Google meet platform along with live streaming on YouTube for larger benefit. The programme started as per schedule. The technical part of this online webinar was taken care by Dr. Dalimi Devi, Librarian, Arya Vidyapeeth College. The First Resource Person of the webinar Dr. Ganesh Bora, Associate Profesor, Department of Agricultural and Biological Engineering Digital Agriculture,Mississippi State University (MSU), USA ,explained on “Active Learning; Effective Teaching and Skill Development in Higher Learning”. The second resource person Pinku Choudhury, Astt. State Project Manager, Social mobilization and capacity building, Assam Skill Development Mission, spoke about “Skill learning in higher education”.
