Arya Vidyapeeth College has organised a 30 days online Yoga Orientation Course in collaboration with Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture, Guwahati from 1st September to 30th September 2021. The course was curated by Mr. Nayan Moni Dutta, Yoga Dronacharya Awardee, Vivekananda Kendra,Kanyakumari, Assam Prant, Nagar Pramukh, Rupnagar. The duration set for the course was from 6am to 7am every day.Total number of participants attended the course were 26. From 1st September, 2021 to 16th September, 2021, the participants were trained and instructed by Mr. Nayan Moni Dutta and Mrs. Gitanjali Nath in various loosening exercises and ashanas. From 17th September, 2021 to 19th September, 2021, the Resource person was Aa. Sayanthiji, Organiser Vivekananda Kendra, Kamakhya Nagar, Lalganesh Nagar, VKIC. On 21st September, Kamrup Vibhag Pramukh Aa. Dhira Deka was the Resource person and she has told about the Vivekananda Kendra, its branches in India with its various functions and objectives. On 22nd September, the resource person was Aa. Meera Kulkarni, Kendra Prant Sanghatak of Vivekananda Kendra. On 23rd September the resource person was Ma. Kamala Kanth Balliarsingh, Siksha Prasar Vibhag, Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari. Next from 24th to 26th of September 2021, Aa. R.Thangalakshmi Subrahmanian from Chennai was the Resource person. From 27th to 29th September, Aa. Kalpana Mehta was the Resource person who joined from Himachal Pradesh. She is the Jivanbrati Karyakarta of Vivekananda Kendra. On 30th September, the resource person were Mr. Somnath Sharma, Director (Retd.)of GSI and a Purnakalin Banaprastha Karyakarta of Vivekananda Kendra and Dr. Soumitra Pujari,Associate Professor and HoD of History, Jorhat College and also Assam Prant Saha Prant Pramukh, Vivekananda Kendra.
