A 30+ hours online certificate course on “Indian Financial Market – Choose your Career” was conducted for students from 21st October, 2021 to 25th November, 2021 in the Google meet Platform by Entrepreneurship & Skill Development Cell, Arya Vidyapeeth College. 24 students participated in the course. The participants were from Arya Vidyapeeth College, Indira Gandhi National Open University, Vidya Bharati University and Cotton University. The Resource person for the entire course was Mr. Bitupan Majumdar, a SEBI Registered Research Analyst.

The inaugural session was held on 21st October, 2021 and was compered by Dr. Anindita Deka. The welcome address was delivered by programme convener Dr. Bhabesh Das. The Chief Guest Dr. Pradip Kumar Bhattacharyya, Principal, Arya Vidyapeeth College inaugurated the programme by addressing the gathering. Dr. Mousumi Borah, the Convener of the Entrepreneurship & Skill Development Cell elaborated on the course and referred also to its usefulness. The Assistant Convener of the programme, Dr. Mintumaan Dutta introduced the resource person Mr. Bitupan Majumdar. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Anidita Deka.

The main objective of the course was to create awareness about financial literacy among the young generation and impart knowledge about Indian Financial market. The complete course was on equity market and commodity market. During the 30 + hours, the participants learnt about

(a) Fundamental Analysis (b) Technical Analysis (c) Derivatives (d) Commodity derivates and (e) Mutual fund

The valedictory session was held on 25th November, 2021 and Dr. Ganesh Choudhury, Former Vice-Principal and retired Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry, Arya Vidyapeeth College was the chief guest. Dr Choudhury addressed the gathering. Participants shared their experience about the course. At the end of the valedictory session vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Mintumaan Dutta, Assistant Convener of the programme. The course compilation certificates were mailed to the participants.
