A Quiz Competition was organised on 07.02.2023 at Arya Vidyapeeth College by the Academic Committee, 2nd Arya Book Fair 2023 in collaboration with the Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture. The Quiz Competition was a part of 2nd Arya Book Fair activities and the theme of the Quiz was on Indian Culture. Mrs. Utjala Barman, the Convenor of the Academic Committee, 2nd Arya Book Fair 2023 inaugurated the programme by welcoming the participants and the team of Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture. Prof. P. C. Bhattacharjee, Director, Mr. Dipankar Mahanta, Joint Secretary, Mr. Dharamraj Joshi, Karyakarta, Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture were felicitated with a gamusa and book hamper.

The Quiz Master for the quiz competition was Mr. Dharamraj Joshi who presented an ICT presentation and based on shared screen questions were asked. A total of 32 students with eleven teams participated in the elimination round from different institutions of Guwahati, out of which six teams were selected for the final round. Parthajyoti Bharadwaj, BA 6th sem, Partha Pratim Sarma, BA 6th Sem and Mrinal Thakuria, BSc 6th Sem from Arya Vidyapeeth College won the 1st Prize (Winner team), Tanmoy Goswami, HS II (Arts), Bishal Kunwar, HS II (Arts), and Jyotisman Das, HS II (Science) from Modern English School won the 2nd Prize (1st Runner-up team) and Partha Pratim Sarma, BSc 4th Sem, Suman Das, BSc 4th Sem and Animesh Deka, BSc 4th Sem from Arya Vidyapeeth College won the 3rd Prize (2nd Runner-up team). Bishal Dhar, BA 2nd Sem from Arya Vidyapeeth College won a special prize from the audience. The winners were given books, trophies, prize money and certificates as prizes by Prof. P. C. Bhattacharjee, Director, Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture and Dr. Sipra Paik, Assistant Professor, Department of Sanskrit, Arya Vidyapeeth College. The quiz was very informative and knowledge enriching competition for the participants.
