Session on “Chasing your passion: Turning ideas into reality”

A session on “Chasing your passion: Turning ideas into reality” had been jointly organized by the Career Counseling Cell and Entrepreneurship & Skill Development Cell, Arya Vidyapeeth College in association with Kaziranga University on the 24th of May, 2022. The resource person was Mr Swapnanil Talukdar, Program officer, Kaziranga University.

Swapnanil Talukdar is a strategy consultant by profession and an Innovator and Entrepreneur by passion. Popularly known as “A Social Engineer”, he is the recipient of IGNITE-14 Award by Late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam (Former President of India) at IIM-Ahmedabad and selected for Innovation Scholars In-Residence Program at Rashtrapati Bhawan. After completing Grade XII from MVM-IV, he went on to pursue Electronics and Communication for higher studies. He took part in the international event NASA – ISEI (Germany) for developing Space vehicles for NASA.

According to him Empathy based Leaders can truly bring about change. He strongly feels that the Values and Attributes of a Change maker include the following:

1) Empathy
2) Human-Centric Leadership
3) Intellectual Curiosity
4) Social Responsibility and Sustainability
5) Personal Branding

When someone follows his passion he explores areas that sparks his interest. He is able to develop his skills in a specific area and use those skills to contribute to something beyond himself. To convert one’s ideas to a reality would require him to help others understand his vision.

A total of 86 students from different departments participated in the program. The session was very interesting and motivating.
